After a long day, we went to Conching's to have dinner.
This is Mama's favorite restaurant/eatery because she's a sucker for Native Lechon Manok.

Conching's is a franchise that originated in Cebu. It is owned by a group of friends and decided to bring Conching's to Davao. According to my cousin, Conching's Cebu is just like a small hut that serves really good home-cooked food. They were shocked at how Davao's branch seemed grandeur compared to its mother branch.

Here's what we ordered:
❤ Balbacua
❤ Stuffed Lambay
❤ Grilled Liempo
❤ Native Lechon Manok
❤ Native Tinolang Manok

Balbacua
I liked it because it was served with skin and meat.
I don't like the consistency and texture of the soup.
Serving size is quite small.
★★
Php 100.00

Stuffed Lambay
Love love love. Love the taste and presentation.
Made with 80% meat of the lambay.
Serving size is okay with price.
★★★★
Php 85.00

Grilled Liempo
Aroma is so delicious as well as taste. Grilled perfectly, not too dry nor too rare.
You can taste the spices and herbs as well as the natural taste of the meat.
Serving size is okay.
★★★★
Php 145.00

Native Lechon Manok
Personally, I don't prefer native lechon manok because it is very skinny.
The taste however, is truly delicious. Similar to lechon manoks Cebu is known for.
Size seemed small for the price, but native lechon manok is often pricey.
★★★
Php 280.00

Native Tinolang Manok
Taste is okay, nothing spectacular. Meat is dry.
Not worth to be ordered again. Sorry.
Php 100.00

What I loved about this eatery is that the ambiance is so laid back. They are one of those restos where they serve good food without the pressure to dress up. They have wifi too, which is awesome for me. The service crew are wonderful, always at the ready to help and serve you anything you'd ask for. I am impressed how they don't take a seat when no one needs their assistance. They always find something to do. They are every employer's dream employee. Haha!

My ultimate favorite from this eatery is their rendition of Filipino beefsteak or Bistek.
It' sweet and spicy and tasted like it was marinated for weeks.
Unfortunately on this day, someone ordered all of it for take out.

Generally, I recommend this place to everyone who loves authentic Filipino cuisine.
