The Swiss Deli and Restaurant

(L-R): Ahia Ian, Achie Candoy, Mama, Papa and Me

Too happy

Fillet of Creamy Dory

Sausage Platter

T-bone

Mixed Grill with French Fries

Desserts and Cakes

Freshly baked daily bread

Blueberry Cheesecake

Princess cake

Almost-cousin Achie Candoy and husband Ahia Ian came to Davao for business purposes.
Being both, as well as their family, very hospitable and generous during our visit to Bohol, my first, we showed gratitude and appreciation by taking them out to dinner for the time-being that they were here. Plus, that's how families should be I believe, right?
Mama and I agreed to bring them to Swiss Deli, which happened to be their favorite here in Davao.
Good job Ma! :)

What we ordered:
♥ Fillet of Creamy Dory for Ahia Ian
♥ T-bone for Achie Candoy
♥ Mixed Grill for Papa, Mama and Me
♥Sausage platter for everyone (mostly for me and Ahia Ian- haha!)
♥ Blueberry Cheesecake
♥ Princess Cake

Mixed Grill
This meal is composed of beef, pork, bacon, chicken and a sausage (bratwurst, i think) with vegetables as side dish and a choice of rice, mashed potato or french fries. The serving is quite overwhelming and each of the components of this meal is seasoned simply to let the natural taste of the meats to shine. For me, this is the most worthy set for the price because of the number of variants of food in one meal.
Funny how me and my parents all ordered the same thing. It was our favorite. Papa had it with garlic rice, Mama with mashed potato and mine with french fries.
Php 240.00

Sausage Platter
A platter that has grilled hungarian, frankfurter, beef banger and bratwurst. This is one of my all-time favorites in this restaurant and is my ultimate lifesaver whenever I'm trying on an all-protein diet. The hungarian sausage is my favorite among the four. Serving size is definitely worth the price.
Php 335.00

Princess Cake
A cake with three thin layers of chocolate chiffon covered with chocolate mousse and then coated with chilled chocolate ganashe. I loved that the chocolates used are different. The chiffon cake was made with simple chocolate, the mousse was made with dark chocolate and the ganashe tasted like it has belgian chocolate in it. The cake was soft and the ganashe was chilled perfectly that it wasn't too runny nor too hard that you can easily slice through it. The texture of the ganashe was smooth and the mousse had that distinct texture as well. Serving of the cake is good for an individual as merienda (snack). As dessert, it is enough for two to three persons.
Php 95.00

I was not able to take a bite on the creamy dory and t-bone for obvious reasons that it's awkward to share in a fine dining restaurant. Anyway, on past visits, I have tried and loved their Seafood Chowder, Cordon Bleu, Ceasar Salad and Australian Ribeye Steak.

Swiss Deli and Restaurant is one of the long-running fine dining restaurants in the city. The owners also have another restaurant located at the 5th floor of Gaisano South Citimall- Picobello Ristorante Italiano.

Generally, they have good tasting food, nice place and friendly crew members who untiringly attend to our requests and restaurants. Price is quite high but is definitely worth the food and service. Although it's not the type of resto that I can (can being an operative word) dine every week, it's worth a visit every once in a while because they are that unique. The only complaint I had was that they don't have wifi for their walk-in customers. Wifi is only available for functions. Too bad!

Don't fret and try dining at The Swiss Deli and Restaurant!

Family life is full of major and minor crises -- the ups and downs of health, success and failure in career, marriage, and all kinds of characters. It is tied to places and events and histories. With all of these felt details, life etches itself into memory and personality. It's difficult to imagine anything more nourishing to the soul than a family.

Love, Me.

Totally! The food they serve are remarkable! They are located at Lanang, before Toyota and fronting Damosa Gateway. You can easily take a cab and ask them to take you to "Swiss Deli". It's pretty much a staple resto here in Davao.

Thanks for dropping by! <3
