How to Date Men

My current read:

How to Date Men by Janis Spindel

I'm loving this book! I hope it does help because I have been dateless or boyfriend-less for the past 5 years.

I dunno. I'm stooopidly coward when it comes to matters of the heart. I'm afraid to be soooo in love yet I think I'm near desperate to fall in love. Hahahaha

If you think you're as love-fool as me, or even if you're the best player in the game of love, I recommend you to read this one! :)

Love,
me.

Mini Haul: Body Shop and Stila

The backstory of the haul..

Recently, I bought 2 items online.

Yesterday, when I arrived home I received one of them. Then it hit me!

"Bakit na-una pang dumating ito eh kakabili ko lang nito?"

Yup, the item I purchased a week ago was missing!!!

So, I contacted the seller and she confirmed that the item was sent and someone has indeed received the item in behalf of me. Shyeeet! The seller further notified me that a certain Rolando Serez was the one who signed for the item. And in my head, who the eff is Rolando Serez???

We asked the guard and he said it was the other security guard. So, I was a bit relieved. All I have to do now is relax and wait for them to change shift. After a few hours, the guard informed me that Rolando Serez just passed his resignation letter to their agency. Grrrrrrrrr!!!

Today, when I arrived home... There it was... The other item! That stupid guard  hid the item in their bunk without logging it in the logbook or notifying his co-guard. Duh!?

Well, all is well and I have my items!!! Yipey! :)

Here they are...

The first item I bought is the Stila make me blush set. It consists of one (1) blusher and two (2) lipglazes.

Blusher: Make me blush. Lipglaze: Hugs (creamy rose) and Kisses (sparkling red).

I bought this set for the following reasons:
  • I realized I only have three or four blushers
  • I love the color of the lipglazes
  • I think that the packaging is extremely cute! and I'm a sucker for packaging!

The next thing I purchased is Body Shop's LOVE, Etc... Eau de Parfum.

  • Top notes: pear, neroli, bergamot
  • Middle notes: jasmine, heliotrope, lily of the valley
  • Base notes: vanilla, sandalwood, musk cream
I'm so addicted to this scent!!! It's sweet and florally. It does smell a bit of vanilla (I hate vanilla and I feel nauseated whenever I smell anything vanilla like Victoria's Secret's Vanilla lace) but it's very subtle that it becomes very sensual and uplifting to the spirit. I bought the body butter in this line roughly a year ago and I'm so damned in love with it! No wonder it's called LOVE!! hahahaha :))

I highly recommend this scent for special occassions and dinner dates, especially on your first date!!! :))

Love,
Me.

Q's Resto

Around 5 days ago, before I went home to Mangagoy, we had dinner at this restobar in Damosa.

Q's Resto
Here's how the bar looks like inside. :)

They serve all kinds of beverage, from San Mig Light to hard liquors. You name it, and they got it for you.

At first glance, Papa kinda dislikes the "vibe" of the resto because he does not drink and he is not comfortable dining with alocohol-drinking people around him.

But after he learned about this extraordinary eat-all-you-can offer they had, he agreed to get in and try it out.

Eat-all-you-can meals come in two choices:
  1. Endless Chicken (deep fried) with unlimited rice and bottomless iced tea.
  2. Endless Chicken and Breaded Porkchop with unlimited rice and bottomless iced tea.
Yes, I chose meal # 2! Nomnomnom.

After a quarter share of  deep fried chicken and 3 servings of the porkchop, I'm so damned full!

This meal will surely suffice all your carnivorous craving and protein needs!

The happy diners...
Monique and I.

Durian :)

I just arrived in Davao at 8:30 p.m.

The trip from Mangagoy (my hometown) to Davao took most of my day and I am as tired as hell.

As soon as I arrived, we went out and had dinner. :)

Then, I asked Papa to buy DURIAN for me because I'm craving for it.

We just bought a small one.

Yumyum. Nomnomnom. ^____^
And the aftermath...

I recalled having this picture.

Don't you love durian? We'll I do. I totally agree with it's famous remark:

Smells like hell but tastes like heaven!!!

Love,
Me. ^^

P.S.
After the durian crave, I think I'm starting to have fever. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna hate durian. I still LOVE it! <3

Thanksgiving Party for the new RNs!

February 17, 2011.

Mom asked me to make homemade polvoron for the family gathering. So, I asked Mom to call Auntie Shokbee (her cousin who is great at baking and cooking) to ask for the recipe cause I forgot na.

Auntie Shokbee excitedly told Mom that she's been monitoring the release of the much-awaited-by-the-whole-family result of the Nursing Licensure Exam which Monique (my sister) and I took last December 19 and 20, 2010. Mom got excited (more nervous, actually) too. And when she told us, we got A-N-X-I-O-U-S!!!

February 19, 2011

Mom and I were in the store when her phone rang... It was Auntie Shokbee calling. I know that the release of the result would be on the next day, but a third of me was anxious again with shivers and sweat to match, a third is slightly excited and the last third of me was trying its best to calm myself.

And suddenly, Mom said that both me and Monique passed the exam!!! I was literally jumping and screaming and dancing and tears are starting to flow.. :D

Almost at once, I grabbed my laptop and checked for my and my sister's name on the site.. And YES, it was there!!! :)

I called Dad and Mom called Monique. Monique arrived and asked if it's confirmed.. I tricked her and told her it was only my name that appeared. She was sad. Then SURPRISE!! Both of us were jumping and screaming.

Dad won't believe that we passed, he needs to see our names daw. Duh!? So I gave him the URL. And then we went to him and we had another episode of  sceaming and jumping.

February 22, 2011

We had our thanksgiving party.

Here are some of the pictures:

KJWAN in MTS!

At around 9 pm, I went to Victoria Plaza to meet up and have dinner with Yen.

While walking, we bumped into Mitch! Weee!^^

 Yen, Mitch and I

Then, we headed for Mandarin Tea Garden to have dinner.

I ordered wanton noodle soup for me and white chicken for Yen. (No pictures because we were starving.)

After dinner, Yen went back to work and Mitch went home because she have to be at work early in the morning.

Alone, I went to Matina Town Square to meet my sister Monique and her friends.

An hour after, we wondered why people suddenly swarmed up. Then we realized, Mark Abaya and his band Kjwan were about to play.

Damn! He is yummy hot  really a good performer!!! ^^

Anyway, a friend of my sister happened to look insanely just like Mark Abaya!

His name is Jiggy. :)

Take a look!

What do you think?

It's one hot night guys! Well, at least it is for me. Hahaha mwah!

i FINALLY got it!

Who's got a new camera???

I DO!!!

After months of endless research, reading countless reviews and multitudinous user's comments about compact digital cameras, not to mention the confusion whether to spend more than half of my saved-for-quite-sometime money or not, I finally bought my very own camera. ^^

The candidates are:

A. Canon Ixus 210

B. Canon Ixus 130

C. Sony Cybershot TX5

D. Canon Powershot SX210 IS

E. Olympus Tough 850 SW

F. Canon Ixus 1000 HS

And the chosen one is...

Canon Powershot SX210 IS.

It came out in three gorgeous colors namely:
  • Modern Purple
  • Vintage Gold
  • Blue Black

And as predictable as I am and my taste is, I went for the MODERN PURPLE.

As far as I have read and through recommendations, this camera suits me best for the following reasons:
  1. I can manipulate it manually, thus I can still use my novice photographer's skills.
  2. The zoom capability of this camera is a prowess! 14x zoom! Can you believe that? Plus, I'm really lazy to move around and so this can come in handy for me.
  3. I certainly love the color and the finish of the product. I know it's not the PINK that I would want but still, it is very girly and gorgeous!
  4. I am happy with the size and built of this camera. Why? Because I'm a big girl, that's why! Imagine me holding a tiny camera, scrambling as I try to press the tiny buttons with my fat fingers. Funny right?  Hahaha :))
Well, that's all the reasons I could think of right now. I will let you know later how the camera is working and if it was worth it's pricey tag!

Talk to you soon guys!

Love,
me. :)
